Rural Mobility Project, to turn-over CLPA Bike Pangkabuhayan
A Journey of Cargo-Bike-Sharing Concept in the Philippines On June 20, 2013 at Eyns Hotel and Restaurant, Catanauan Quezon Province, the Ateneo de Manila University- School of Government’s (ASoG) Rural Mobility Project with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) will officially turn-over the twenty (20) cargo bicycle units to CLPA.
July to December 2012 Activities
July 2012 Participation in the meetings of Ateneo Traffic Group (ATG) and Loyola Heights Operation Katipunan (LHOK) to improve the connectivity, traffic and walkability in Katipunan Avenue. The project offered full support and extends its services through mapping and is planning to do an orientation/workshop about SeeClickFix and New Mobility Mapping Workshop.

The rapid and uncontrolled growth of Metro Manila has resulted in complex social, economic, and ecological problems. The car-centric pattern of development has brought about traffic congestion, urban sprawl, and pollution. These problems, combined with frequent oil price hikes, have led to the urgent need to mainstream low-carbon modes of transportation such as cycling.
